How to find Palomino Kennels, Higueral
From Albox or Baza on the A-334 main road, take the second turning to Tijola, clearly signposted “Lucar”.
Follow the signs towards Lucar, over the bridge which crosses the Rio Almanzora (often dry!). As you enter Estación de Tíjola, you will cross a disused railway line with a water tower on the left hand side. Turn left here.
Continue along the road 7.5km towards Higueral.
At a bungalow with a tall metal chimney, turn left onto a dirt track which leads to our kennels and cattery.

Directions from the N-340 / E15:
Exit the N-340 / E15 at junction 547 take the A-334 towards Baza / Albox / Tijola. After 48km exit the A-334 to the right. Turn right at the crossroads. After 0.6km take a left at the old level crossing towards Higueral. After 7.5km you will see a bungalow on the left with a big metal chimney; turn left just after the bungalow down a narrow track and head towards the pine trees. The kennels are on the left.
Directions from the A-92N / N-342:
Exit the A-92N / N-342 at the Baza junction taking the A-334 towards Tijola / Olula del Río. After 38.5km exit the A-334 to the right. At the roundabout take the exit under the bridge to Lúcar. Take the first left at the old level crossing towards Higueral. After 7.5km you will see a bungalow on the left with a big metal chimney, turn left just after the bungalow, down a narrow track and head towards the pine trees. The kennels are on the left.
